A gold coin collection is perhaps the most expensive and precious collection one can have.

The American 1933 Gold Eagle was bought at cost of around 8 million dollars. From this sale, it is clear why gold coin collecting is referred to as the king's hobby.

In the States, gold coins were in circulation from 1838 to 1933. The original design, on the gold coins was the bust of the Liberty Head. The next design was the Saint Gaudens motifs. The last design was the Indian Head, which was used until the year 1933.

Due to the Great Depression, all gold coins were recalled. These gold coins are coveted, scarce and extremely valuable due to their historical importance and their aesthetic value.
